Elizabeth Fillmore Bridal collection has launched in 1999, as a natural extension of her evening line. She graduated Parsons School of Design in 1993 with the passion, and then she began with a high end niche collection of sexy and romantic evening pieces. After several years in the evening market, she started a Bridal collection. Her first collection of wedding dresses was “Modern Romantic”. Her designs are beautiful balance of Sophistication, Femininity, and a touch of the “Bohemian”, there is an overall lightness to the designs coupled with the personal touch of hand done accents on each dress, the flowers, trim or twist of a drape, that keeps the collection so special. Fall/Winter 2011 wedding dress collection focuses on slender bias cuts with graceful draping accents, chic fitted hourglass gowns to ethereal empire silhouettes.
The fabrics are extremely important to the look of the collection, as she uses all silk fabrics and linings relying on mainly French and Italian couture fabrics that offer an added originality and richness to the designs. Whimsy and novelty themes add a touch of romance and individuality to each gown. She attracts an urban, glamorous bride. Her designs are structured, yet with narrow body conscious shapes. These wedding dresses do not have the traditional full skirt or fine beadings that can sometimes overwhelm the wedding dress. Instead, Elizabeth Fillmore wedding dresses feature draping lightweight fabrics, and elegant silhouettes. For enhancement these gowns are then finished off with fine buttons, beads, and needlework.
